This fan motor is used in frost-free refrigerators with a condenser coil. When the compressor runs, so does this fan, circulating air through the refrigerator grille, to cool the compressor and condenser coils. This fan motor also helps to evaporate excess water in the drain pan. This kit includes the motor, fan blade, wire harness, and screw. If your refrigerator/freezer section is too warm you may need to replace this part. This part has been updated by the manufacturer. The connection ports on the water inlet valve are John Guess fittings. To remove, it is recommend to push the line in and then hold the ring in. While holding the ring in, pull the line out. To re-install, push the line in until there is resistance. Push until the line "pops" in another 1/4". Pull on the line with out touching the ring to seat seal. This is a genuine OEM part and inclused 5/16" inlet tube.

The temperature sensor is in the water pump area of the ice cube maker. This part helps to determine the water level in the water reservoir. Once the water reaches a certain level the temperature sensor will send a signal to the controls to fill the reservoir. This is a genuine OEM part. Please make sure you disconnect the power to the ice cube maker before starting your repair.

If your standalone ice maker is making too much ice, not enough ice, or none, you may need to replace the bin thermostat. This part will sense how much ice is in the bin and decide if it should produce more or stop the production of ice. You can test the thermostat for continuity with an ohm meter. This part is made of metal and plastic and is white in color. This is a genuine OEM part.
