There are two belts under a Maytag washer; one for the main drive pulley and one for the water pump. The belt kit includes both the drive belt and the pump belt which are both "V" shaped. The belt connects the drive motor to the drive system to be able to spin the tub basket. If your washer will not agitate, not spin, or not drain, the belt could be worn or damaged and will need to be replaced. This is a genuine OEM kit.
