The component shape was slightly different that the OEM part, but installed properly and works as expected.
The part arrived fast and was well packaged. One difference with this part compared to the OEM is the orientation of the electrical connector. However, by simply removing the wire harness from the original anchor point I was able to get the little bit of extra cable length required to minimize strain on the cable/connector. A second difference is the mechanical shift lever configuration has changed, possibly because the original design was prone to failure.

On my whirlpool washer the wiring harness had just enough slack to plug into the actuator. A bit of fiddling and the harness plug was able to fit into the actuator connection.
