Followed the pointers others gave on how to replace the part. It would have been faster if: a) I'd been able to pull the water hose out of the dispenser - couldn't for the life of me pull it out, even using pliers; b) hadn't spent time trying to remove the wired connector intact - it was routed behind some components that had been screwed down over it. I couldn't remove the hose, which meant I couldn't completely remove the whole unit, which meant I couldn't remove the components over the wires, so I just cut them. Easy peazy. Everything worked great.

Part fit perfectly and operates correctly. Removing the steel face plate of the ice/water supply was VERY difficult; there are NO videos or instructions anywhere online to us as a guide. You must loosen the steel face plate by gently working it along the edges, starting from a corner. Once it's loosened, you can lift the face plate straight up an inch or by pulling up on the bottom of the plate to clear the two metal tabs (one each side) to remove it. There is a ground lead attached to the right side of the plate which must also be released from the plate by pulling up on the two metal tabs which attach the leads. Also, because the water dispenser tube is quite short, it is VERY difficult to fit it back into the hole in the dispenser control assembly when re-assembling the unit. It helps to position the entire control assembly VERTICALLY and align the hole with the end of the tube for insertion, rather than trying to bend the tube while inserting it into a horizontally held control. assembly.
