The rear tub gasket is located between the drive shaft and the rear outer tub to form a watertight seal to prevent water from leaking. It is recommended to replace the two bearings at the same time as replacing the tub gasket. The gasket is black in color and measures approximately 3” in diameter. This is a genuine OEM part. Please make sure you disconnect the power and water supply to the washer before starting your repair.

The outer tub gasket is used to create a seal between the front and rear outer tub to prevent water leaking. The tub gasket is located between the front outer tub and the rear outer tub. If your washer starts leaking from between the outer and rear tub, the tub gasket could be worn out or damaged and will need to be replaced. This part is black in color and made of rubber. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power and water supply to the washer before starting the repair.

The magnetic door plunger attaches to the inner door panel of your washer and will hold the door open when the washer is not in use and allows the door and tub seal to dry. This part is called a spider, spinner support or rear drum support for your washer. It is triangular, with three arms, and it is made of metal. The washer spinner supports and spins the tub while the washer is running. If you notice that your washer shakes or moves during operation, or if it is excessively noisy, you may need to replace the spider.
