PART WORKS, INSTALLATION WAS A HIGHTMARE
I RECEIVED THE PART IN A TIMELY FASHION BUT IT DID NOT COME WITH WIRING INSTRUCTIONS REPLACING THE OLD REDUNDANT SWITCH. IT TOOK SEVERAL CALLS TO EASY APPLIANCE PARTS, SEVERAL CALLS TO WHIRLPOOL CANADA WITHOUT ANY SUCCESS IN FINDING INFORMATION ON HOW TO WIRE SWITCH 8203538 REPLACING THE OLD SWITCH 972604. FINALLY, AFTER A FEW HOURS ON THE INTERNET I FOUND INFORMATION THAT SEEMED TO ADDRESS MY PROBLEM AND THE INFORMATION WAS FINALLY CONFIRMED BY EASY APPLIANCE PARTS. This part is a change up from the original part and the connections are completely different. The add shows switch, jumper wire and instruction sheet for the change up. Received the switch c/w the jumper wire ( no instructions ). Contacted Easy appliance to get copy of the instructions and was told whatever came in package is all you get, and to look on the internet or get ahold of whirlpool for instructions on how to hook up switch. Contacted Whirlpool and they were no help at all. Spent a few hours looking at numerous instructions on the internet and lots of them did not match the wiring i had on the old switch. Finally found one that kind of matched wiring colours and third it, thankfully it worked but spent way more time on this than it should have if Easy Appliance would supply the instructions
