This door gasket is used to make an air-tight seal for the cabinet when the door is closed to prevent warm air from entering the refrigerator. The gasket is gray in color and made of rubber. If your refrigerator is too warm, has frost build up, or the gasket is torn, you may need to replace the door gasket because the refrigerator will need to work harder to cool down.
