The capacitor works in conjunction with your dehumidifier by helping to start the compressor motor. The capacitor attaches to the dehumidifier motor and helps start up the motor. If the dehumidifier compressor continues to trip or doesn’t run the part may be defective and will need to be replaced. This capacitor is 15 MFD and is 300 volts. Please remember to disconnect the power before starting the repair. This is a genuine OEM part.
