The compressor start relay attaches to the compressor to help start the compressor motor and then shuts off as soon as the motor gets up to speed. The relay is black in color and measures approximately 1”. If your refrigerator is not running you may need to replace the relay. You can use a multimeter to check the continuity. The overload is not included with the start relay. The overload must be ordered separately. Please remember to disconnect the power before starting your repair.
