The fill hoses should have screens installed in them to prevent debris from entering the valve and causing it to stick open or closed. Sometimes these valves are called mixing valves, because they essentially mix the cold and hot water together to create “warm” water. Another common term is water solenoid.

Dispenser inlet gasket (gasket)

The water inlet valve gasket helps prevent water from leaking between the water inlet valve and the dispenser drawer housing. If your washer is leaking or filling slowing, the gasket could be worn or damaged and will need to be replaced. The gasket is black in color, made of rubber and measures approximately 3/4” of an inch high. Please remember to disconnect the power and water supply before starting the repair.
