Our <2year old LG’s original ice maker gacked. This replacement was great. It would be awesome if it had some instructions. I figured it out but took stuff apart that was unnecessary in hind site. Seems the LG fridges have an issue with freezing up the water feeds on these things. If you do the “accelerated ice” option, we find it freezes and no ice is produced. Would I buy another LG fridge. At this point no. Happy to have ice functioning again. Boo you LG.

The original ice tray cracked which caused a water leak, visible on the floor. Probably a cube jammed and the motor forced rotation and broke that tray. Replacement part did not have any instructions, but removed screws from original part plus the extras needed to access the wire connector without forcing it. Pay attention to the wire routing as it can get pinched if put in the wrong place. Save an expensive service call and do it yourself. This only takes minimal mechanical knowledge.
