The refrigerator light switch turns the interior light off and on when you open or close the refrigerator door. The light switch also prevents the front dispenser from working if the refrigerator door is opened. Defrost timer - 120v 60hz (refrigerator defrost timer assembly. Turn the dial on the timer clockwise to advance it into and out of defrost.)

The defrost timer acts like a clock, continually advances and alternates between activating the cooling cycle and the defrost heater. This 120V 60Hz defrost timer will cycle for twenty-five minutes after every six hours of run time. The timer itself is made of plastic, and its terminals are bent, the leads are internal, and the label is orange. If your refrigerator is too warm, freezer section is too warm, freezer is not defrosting, or leaking, you may need to replace the defrost timer. This is a genuine OEM part.
