The main reason to replace the light lens cover is if it is cracked, damaged, or missing. Make sure the lens cover is cool to the touch before you begin this repair. To remove the lens cover, simply turn it counter clockwise until you can remove it. Replace it with a new cover and turn it clockwise to lock it into place. Oven door light switch (switch)

The oven door light switch is a on an off mechanism that will shut the oven light off when the door is closed or turn on when the door is open. When you open the oven door and the light does not come on, it could be the switch or the light bulb and one of them will need to be replaced.
