The thermistor in your air conditioning unit monitors the room temperature and sends the information to the control board. If you discover that your air conditioner is malfunctioning, or will not maintain a consistent temperature, you may have to replace the thermistor. The sensor is in the interior of your air conditioner, so you will need to open it up to access it. Make sure you disconnect the power source from the air conditioner before you begin this repair. This is a genuine OEM part.
