Light switch (switch light)

This is the light switch that goes in your refrigerator. If the light is not working or stays on, you may need to replace the switch. It is made of mainly white plastic, and is an OEM part, directly from the manufacturer. Be sure to disconnect the refrigerator from the power source before you begin this repair. To remove the switch, simply use a flathead screwdriver to pop the switch out from the refrigerator wall, then disconnect the wires. Reconnect the wires to the new switch, snap it into place, and the repair is complete.

Dispenser door recess crank (crank door recess)

The door recess crank for your refrigerator is located inside the water dispenser assembly. To access this part, you will need to take apart the dispenser assembly. To do this, you will need a putty knife and a Phillips screwdriver. If your dispenser door will not close properly, or ice is not dispensing properly, you may have a damaged door recess crank. This part is made of white plastic and is sold individually.

Fresh food lever (lever assy ff side black)

This part is the replacement fresh food lever for your refrigerator. It is also known as the door closer lever, and it is made of black plastic. It is approximately 3 inches long and 1 inch wide. The fresh food lever works with the cam and the spring and helps with the opening and closing of the door. If the lever is damaged and the door assist isn’t working properly, you may need to replace it. You will find the lever at the bottom of the refrigerator, behind the grate. Plastic tubing - 5/16 inch (tube plastic)

This part is the replacement water line for your refrigerator. It is a long plastic tube, which is 5/16 of an inch in diameter. If your refrigerator is leaking, or will not dispense water or ice, you may have a damaged water line. When you replace the water line, you may want to pick up a new water tube union as well. You can use a utility knife to cut the old water line where it is damaged, and use the union to attach the new water line to the old one. This tubing is sold individually and is an OEM part.

Fresh food door gasket - black (gasket)

This part is the replacement fresh food door gasket for your refrigerator. It is made of black rubber and is sold individually. The fresh food door gasket runs along the circumference of your refrigerator’s fresh food door and creates the seal that allows your refrigerator to regulate the temperature inside. If the gasket is worn, stretched, or damaged, your fridge may become too warm, and you may notice the door is sweating. The door also may not open or close properly because of a damaged gasket. To replace the gasket, carefully pull the old gasket out the grooves it fits in around the door. Press the new gasket into the same grooves snugly. This part is an OEM part from the manufacturer.
