Switch monitor interlock (monitor switch)

This is the replacement monitor switch for your microwave. It is black in color and measures approximately 1 inch by ¾ of an inch. This switch monitors the door latch position of your microwave and communicates to the electronic control board whether the latch is open or closed. If the switch is damaged, your microwave may not start, even though the door latch is closed. You can check the continuity of the switch by using a multimeter. Be sure to disconnect the microwave from power before you begin this repair.

If the microwave won’t start, then the switch has failed and will need to be replaced. The micro switch is in the latch board section and due to the high voltage capacitor in the microwave, it can retain a lethal electrical charge. Turntable assembly (glass tray support with rollers.)

The turntable support assembly is also known as a roller guide and fits under the cooking tray and is used to support the tray and to engage the rotating coupler. The support assembly has 3 arms and each is approximately 4 inches long. If your cooking tray will not turn, check the support assembly for signs of damage. If no damage can be seen, check the coupler for damage.
